Class Description
This class explores a variety of new painting techniques with mixed media to create fascinating art forms. Students develop a body of work and enhance skills in a novel way by mastering painting expression with embellished applications of three dimensional textures. Works of Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, de Kooning and others will be analyzed.
Please read: Learning new break through painting and mixed media techniques is the focus of this class in a supportive group environment. Many of the formulas being taught are the personal art recipes from instructor’s own work as seen in her museum exhibitions. A materials list will be explained and provided the first day of class.

Class Description
This course provides students a comprehensive, historical overview of abstract art and practical instruction in the painting of abstract pictures. Students will explore methods, materials, composition, color, and intuitive uses of their imagination through new techniques.
