Calling all artists!

It’s time for another Call For Entries for Art in the Mayor’s Office. This round the theme is Line. Send in you best interpretation in  any all 2D media. This project is nearly 3 yrs old and has been viewed by hundreds of visitors to Helene’s office. The art we select comes from a broad range of art representing Santa Barbara’s artists, from professionals to emerging artists. Let’s show what Santa Barbara has to offer.
Space is limited so most selections will need to be hanging ready work no larger than 36 inches tall by 36 inches wide INCLUDING THE FRAME. If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please fill out the simple application and submit up to three digital examples of your work.
The deadline to apply is midnight  Sunday, January  25, 2015. The selections will be reviewed by a small panel and announced on or about January 27th. The opening will coincide with 1st Thursday February 5th, 5pm to 6pm. If you have any difficulties with the registration or application process, our webmaster is available for questions at .

Art in the Mayors Office for July

SantaBarbaraCityMayor Helene Schneider and SBAC are pleased and excited to present works by the Santa Barbara Printmakers. The artists on exhibit are:Cody Cambell, Loree Gold, Bay Hallowell, Michael Heffner, Yessy Kim, Patricia Post, Don Zimmerman, Pamela Zwehl-Burke, Elizabeth Manager, and David Graves.


The opening reception is between 5:00 and 6:00pm 1st Thursday, July3rd. Come meet the Mayor and the artists at City Hall 2nd floor.


You can also join the 1st Thursday Art Crawl on the City Hall steps facing De La Guerra Plaza at 5:30pm.


ONE WEEK LEFT: Funk Zone Artist Village Applications

UPDATE (5/20/14): Application packet has been updated with a few more FAQ topics to reflect incoming questions.

Mesa Lane Partners is now accepting applications for the Funk Zone Artist Village (FZAV).

All applications must be legibly filled out in their entirety and be received by 06.06.14, to be considered.
