Selections for Art in the Mayor’s Office

SantaBarbaraCityMayor Helene Schneider and the Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative would like the thank everyone who submitted work for Art in the Mayor’s Office. We’d also like to announce and congratulate the artists who were selected for this exhibition.


They are:


Susanne Meyer, Sarah Sinclair, Seyburn Zorthian, David J Diamant, James Hodgson, Rebecca Stebbins,Fritz Olenberger, Margaret Morrison, and Peter Worsley


Please join us all at the show’s opening and meet the Mayor this 1st Thursday September 5th from 5pm to 6pm on the 2nd floor of City Hall.


We’d like to thank the Mayor for her involvement in local art and the Santa Barbara Arts Collaborative for facilitating this event.





Call for Artists

Calling all artists!

It’s time for another Call For Entries  for Art in the Mayor’s Office. This round is another open call, all 2D medias & subjects. This project in nearly 2yrs old and has been viewed by hundreds of visitors to Helene’s office. The art we select come from a broad range of art representing Santa Barbara’s artists, from professionals to emerging artists. Let’s show what Santa Barbara has to offer.
Space is limited so most selections will need to be hanging work no larger than 36 inches tall by 36 inches wide INCLUDING THE FRAME. If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please fill out the simple application and submit up to three digital examples of your work.
The deadline to apply is noon on Monday, August 15, 2013. The selections will be reviewed by a small panel and announced by August 22nd. The opening will coincide with 1st Thursday, September 5th. If you have any difficulties with the registration or application process, our webmaster is available for questions at webmaster@sbartscollaborative.org .
We chose to do an open call so we can showcase a wide range of the talent in Santa Barbara.
